That PSU.. Id consider getting something with a bit more wattage. As soon as you put your GPU under load I can only assume your PSU will burst into flames.

And don't bother with a sound card if the motherboard already has audio out.

And The RAM is a bit slow, 1333 is old, but stable, but without the sound card, you can put the extra money towards some faster RAM, Id say minimum 1600

    I could add the:
NEW! 750W Corsair RM Fully Modular and the 16GB Corsair 1600mhz Vengeance (2x8GB)

    Is that any better?

Even with that, youd only be giving the rest of your computer 150w to run. The GPU you chose will need a minimum 600w out of that 750. Your CPU draws another 125w, leaving 25w for everything else including the RAM and hard drives and even fans/lights. You're cutting it close..

    This should give you enough
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171048

Its semi-modular so you can plug in what you need, same price for the one you linked too.

Okay, so I know I'm just biased towards Intel CPUs so I won't say anything about that.

But yeah the 1333 RAM is kinda weak. Make sure to look into what the motherboard and CPU support.

And I would try dual booting Windows 7 and SteamOS. Rather than Windows 8.

Precisely. I dualboot Win7/Linux. I mainly use the Linux partition to back up Windows, because lets face it, Windows Rot is horrendous. But with the imminent release of SteamOS.. I may just very well use it as my primary OS

I should be able to add the 850w and the 1600 RAM

That would cost £997 altogether, is that a decent price. Its going to be used for gaming and homework

Beast of a PC, I won't be able to say I have the most powerful PC on the site anymore :(

But yeah, Im not sure what are good prices overseas. And everything across the pond is rather expensive anyway. Just think of it like this, if you can fit it in your budget, it works. PCs are about disposable income, if you can afford a better part for that PC and it fits in with your money to burn. Do it. Its why we are the Master Race.
